The Process

Our survey reports operate on a 5 step process as outlined below. We keep this clear and will make sure to keep you in the loop about where we are with the survey and when to expect your report.

Our 5 Step Process

1. Request a Quote

Click on “Request a Quote” on our website

Complete the form “Marine Survey Request Form (Yachts under 24m)”. Mandatory fields are required and marked*. The more detail you provide, the quicker the quote will be produced.

If you’re not sure which services you require and wish to discuss this, please contact by email or phone. Our main objective is to help you throughout the whole survey process so you can feel supported from start to finish and reassured the end product is the very thing you dreamed of (without any nightmares).

2. Receive a Quote, Confirm & Pay

We will send you a quote for the services you’ve requested and attach a contract for you to sign. If you would like to proceed, sign the contract and return it by email and make the full payment quoted by BACS.

On receipt of the signed contract and fees paid, you will receive a confirmation email from us.

3. Schedule Survey With Marina

If the survey is to be carried out ashore, select a convenient date with the marina to lift out and pressure wash the vessel so it’s ready for inspection. NOTE: Unless otherwise agreed in writing, in the UK, the buyer is strictly responsible for paying for the vessel lift out and pressure wash and any subsequent relaunch fees. This service must be paid for before the survey is due to start (unless otherwise agreed in writing with the marina).

Forward this date to us and we will confirm your marine survey booking by email return.

4. We Survey Your Vessel

We complete a comprehensive assessment of your vessel (usually ashore). On completion, we walk through the vessel with you to highlight our evaluation results and answer any questions you might have.

If you’re unable to attend, we offer a phone call to go through our findings either before or after you receive the marine survey report.

5. Email Your Survey Report

We complete your written survey report and email this to you between 24 to 48 hours.

Pro-tip For Your Survey

Please remain on board but allow the surveyor to work independently. Your presence is valuable for locating specific equipment locations or systems for example, but accompanying the surveyor into confined spaces can delay the process.

A joint walkthrough will be conducted at the conclusion of the survey.
